When I got home last night from work I ralised that my near side light lens has been smashed to smitherenes.
can I just buy a replacement lens or do I need to buy a full new unit?
-
whole new unit, IIRC you can't buy the lense by itself :-[
hope this helps

Not sure what the cost from vw is for a replacement unit, but it might be time to consider a pair of 3rd party black lights!
Mine were only ?160 delivered the next day. I'm pretty sure thats gonna be cheaper than buying a new unit.
Alternatively, give Ebay a try

Rickardo,
I think I've got a spare complete n/s headlamp available from my 2000 GTI (undamaged & includes all bulbs etc) - yours for ?50 inc UK P&P if you are interested.
Please drop me an email to golfstuff@tiscali.co.uk to discuss further.
Cheers
