wondered if the corrado leccy sunroof could fit in the mk2 golf?
anyone know how easy it is to fit a leccy roof using original bolt on parts?
-
im gonna try and use an audo 80 sunroof motor. heard these are the best fit. are you tilting and sliding?
-

i dont like the tilt and slide to be honest. Dont see the point ::)
Probably check out a few audi's with a leccy roof and see if it fits straight in. what u recon?
-
if you want it non tilt just leave the old sunroof in and fit a motor instead of the handle. i think the only things you will have to do is tap some holes to mount the motor on with and make a new panel to hide it with the light in and switch. actually you might have to find a motor that doesnt tilt the sunroof as well cos most of them do. ??? im gonna use an electric windows switch and put it on the middle mount on the centre console 8)

Let us know how you get on ;)
-
yeah blue you can do it first and let me know how it went ;D ;D
-
does a corrado roof tilt and slide or does it tuck in like the mk2's?
if not ill search for a corrado motor and loom. not looking forward in drilling the roof.lol

Maybe one of these from a scrapper might help http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=2474588766&category=9889

the advantage of tilt is you can open it to let your fag smoke out when it's raining and not get wet ;D
-
good for letting a bit of air in on the motorway too without all the wind noise :D

the advantage of tilt is you can open it to let your f*g smoke out when it's raining and not get wet ;D
reminds me of my tilt+slide tip...
when its raining and you are going down a hill with the "tilt" open *do not* slow down suddenly... you end up covered in cold water :-[

I have an electric sunroof in my MK2 Gti - it was there when I bought it. I've no idea if this was an option when my car was made, but it looks like its always been there! They mechanism is boxed off by dashboard style materials and theres a switch below the foglamp switch.

^^^ pictures needed matey ;D

i actually dont want to mess around with the sunroof, it works nicely and i dont want to mess it up, i just want to drive the original gear some how..
so what is the simplest way to do this?
i didnt think this thread would cause such interest!

So much interest that you dig up a five year old thread?
