Title: what brakes can i put on

alright am new to this site, what it is i have a mk 2 golf gti on a 1986 plate  an i need to change the rear brakes my hand brake dosn't work i change the caliper a few months a go an it worked a 4 a bit an now it dosn't........ what calipers can i change them for cheers..

mk3 or mk4 but i think because your an early mk2er youll need to buy the longer and later style handbrake cables.
if you go mk4 like i have youll have to spend around £25-£30 on some flexi hoses from goodridge . ( they are braided )

i dont know the in's and out's of the handbrake cable thingie, but mines a 90 spec and it has the later style longer cables or something. the year 88 sounds familiar.
