Will this fit a MK 2 1990 8v GTi?
It says it for the mk3 but I thought they were the same.

Just get a mk2 one. Whats the point in risking it? A set is like a 10a from GSF, no waiting for delivery, no paypal charges.

I could do with one of these and heres the gsf job.

i can only seem to find the linkage repair kit for the 1.6/1.8 though not for a 1.3? would the 1.6/1.8 be the same do you think? i know its a five speed linkage though and i've got a 4 speed? how much difference would this make :undecided:?

I had my likages done, thing is it was a bit more than that, I had the Bushes (where the rod goes through) and the metal part with the ball shaped bit on and it was like £60-£80 quid I think!!!!!!
Go to GSF and they can print you out a decent numbered diagram so you can check what is worn and get a good price mate

There's a seperate rod for 5th gear so I think it's the same minus the bits for that rod. Worth getting the plastic linkage rod whilst you're at it, only a pound or something. As for the relay ball, there's someone on here who sells them, much cheaper than getting the arm attached to it as well!
