So it's arrived, new 5dr in Red, 08 spec so leather, oh and the only "extra" I specified was the arm rest.
Ordered on Easter Saturday (so 8 weeks lead time), Ordered at the local dealer - told them the Drive-the-Deal price and asked them how close they could get.  They came within £100 so we did the deal.

Didn't take up their kind offer for Lifeshine - it looks shiney enough, and I've got some Autoglym!
On delivery they revised their GAP offer by 50% - a special VW price for May

Just need to run it in - and sell the Astra!

Re the Gap ins, have a look elsewhere, i got mine for about £110.  Unless you have bought it already!

I vote we get to see some PICS!

Good job not getting the Lifeshine/Diamondbrite/Supaguard etc, IMO its a rip off.


Get some Meguiars NXT2 Tech Wax on it, it'll almost be as shiny as Phil Mcavity's red rocket  :wink:

yes great choice, red is the shinniest colour and the fastest, and like everyone has said, WHERES YOUR PHOTOS!!!! :cool:

if you do fancy the lifeshine, get it off ebay. You can pick it up yourself and do it for about £20. It is worth it just to keep the windows clear. Oh dear, i'll get my anorak :embarassed:

agree with u on the lifeshine kit window stuff,  its really really good, who needs windscreen wipers in the rain!
