only bin doing it the last 2 weeks now and then it revs on its self up 2 3rpm then drops then goes back up and then i give it a revs and its ok then?? i have disconected my battery to reset the ecu just to see if that helps

would have thought its more to do with coil packs then the MAF mate :undecided:
coilpacks control the fuel injection; MAF is for the air / fuel mixture

not 100% mate - you're going to need it scanned for fault codes - that should confirm whats wrong

un plug the socket from the back of the maf and then go for a drive and if you notice no difference then its not your maf . but if you notice a huge differnce ( loss of power ) then you can safely say its knakered .
ps . unplugging it will do no harm . your car will just use an automatic setting

coming home from college today and i it was missing again and then it was ok then i got home and left it for an hour and on my way to the gym it was missing again then stoped my mate is bringing home his snap on vag reader so hopefully it should tell me what as bin going wrong
