I've just fitted a set of component speakers into my mk2 golf but the drivers side speaker and tweater click most of the time there ok sometimes but most of the time they just click , I've checked the wires and eveything looks ok .The rca cables are run down the same side as the speaker wires could this cause the problem or has any1 got any other idea of what it may be.
Thanks for any help you can give me.

My drivers side Infinity Kappa tweater softly ticks/clicks. It came back form a service and it started  for some reason. If you have the volume at 0 it ticks with the speed of the revs. If you rev the engine from idle you can hear the tweaters clicking speed up. Any idea what this could be???
Is it faulty?
Thanks in advance.

I've tired them on the other side and they were fine so I tired the ones from the other side and they do the same thing when fitted in the drivers side so dont think the speakers are faulty do you think it could be the crossover/wireing thats at fault , The strange thing is that they are ok some times though thats why I thought might be a prob with the wirein ,would the quality of the rca make any diffence ?

Ah this is now time for an Interference supressor that bolts onto the alternator or inline with the rca leads.

To add my 2p worth, make sure the Earth is solidly mounted to bare metal on the chassis
