Title: Solex 31 PIC carburettor

my mate gave his carb off his 1.05 litre mk1 golf and was wondering if it will fit on to my 1.3l golf mk2 with the pierburg 2E3 carb

maybe, i seem to think that 1.0 and 1.3 were almost similar in many ways, but tbh i can't say anything about the carbs as they are not my thing. is it not just worth trying to fit it? then putting old one back if not?
