Title: Could anyone explain...
Post by: c19 on 13 May 2008, 22:31
Guys,

Now there could be a very valid reason for this but none are coming to me at the moment!

WHY are there so many GTI's for sale with less than 10,000 miles on the clock for sale? 4000, 6700, 9000, 5500 and the list goes on.  Its like they took it around the block a few times and then thought, actually, I want something else!

i bet some of those will be ex-demos and some ex-company cars (whos employee has left so they sold the car back)

Ex fleet lease cars. They buy them at a big discount, lease them for 3,6,12 months and then sell them.

Generally you get a good deal and the lease company earns a nice profit from it.

x2

Exactly as Komenda says. Frankly I'd be pretty pissed off to only be able to enjoy a Mk5 GTI for such a short time, even if it was semi-free! They only start to loosen up properly after about 10,000 miles!
