i had a new cambelt fitted and since than i feel a slight lack of power. its like you put your foot down and the car wants to move but you dont get the full power its sort of jerking. and sometimes its just fine like nothing has happend.
i had a diagnostic scan carried out at the VW garage and they said that the fault is related to the cambelt area and they need to look at it in detail (i gave the car on saturday) ofcourse during weekday.
any thoughts on what this might be ? hope its not serious

Sounds like cam timing is out by a tooth or three. Car will run but power will be affected.
