Hello , the time has come for me to get my first gti {at 25}
a friend of my family is a car dealer and he has offered me a
Golf gt tdi 150, 03 reg, 90K, black, 3 door , new 18" RS4 alloys, full grey leather, arm rest, climate etc
price £6000.
is this a good deal , had my heart set on a 1.8 T, but the mpg is a problem
I will want to remap it maybe a DV , can I do this with a GT TDI ,
ANY ADVISE WILL BE VERY HELPFUL GUYS !

I had a 1.8T and now have a GTTDI 150 and I would never go back to the petrol model. The diesel is as quick 0-60 if not quicker than the 1.8T and the mid range torque will make you grin. You will be able to keep up with most cars on the mway in 6th without a remap. There was always something missing from the 1.8T - just lacked grunt.
Don't know about the price - check parkers.co.uk. Make sure cambelt has been done. Shouldn't have much problem at 90k - Diesels usually good for 3x that. Check the usual stuff with dealer.
