That makes perfect sense, and so i would presume the dampness all over it is when air con thingy broke.
So any ideas on what "a" is?
Cheers, mike

the 2 connectors look similar to some that i have coiled up unused behind my front bumper, seeing as i dont have AC i guess it something to do with that, couldn't say what tho
-
well my a/c dont come on no more, so i guess its that.
As my rad works fine, brakes and steering etc all work fine. Just the a/c. be nice to know what it actually is so then i could maybe fit it?
Cheers nelds

thats your carbon canister... i think and looks like that could be ur Dip dim resistor.

Couldn't say what A is but B is your cold air intake for your interior fans. And as for it being wet, yeh it must have somthing to do with your A/C.

Correct me if im wrong but is that not taken in through the vent under the scuttle panel to the left where interior fan is, has a polen filter on it

Yea.. it is, that is the carbon cainster, its conected to the purge valve at the top (makes a clicky noise)
Just had a look at the GTI im breaking, its defo that "evaporative emissions" thingy

can this carbon canister, evaporative emissions thingy widget unit be taken off then ?? as it is in the way ware a cold air feed pipe can run :) ?
