Title: Genuine GTI wheels (horse shoe!)

First post, hello to all :-)

I don't own a GTI (just passed my test and insurance would be toooooo much! so i've got a 1.6 fsi) but would like to replace the wheels with 18" GTI's, but the only place I seem to be able to get them from is ebay but I would like a genuine set, anybody know where I could purchase a set?

Post by: 2007GTI on 11 May 2008, 17:28: sorry to be a spoil sport, but make sure if you do fit different wheels you tell your insurance co, as its counted as a mod, and if you have an accident your insurance will be invalid. :nerd:

some replicas are ok (according to a few people), but i would be careful as some cheaper rims can buckle easier than a more quality item

I will get a gti eventually, but until then I just want some shiny Monza's on my fsi :-)

Out of interest would 19's fit on an mk5 fsi? I suppose if i'm going to save and spend 1500+ on standard gti wheels, my options have just opened up! So was looking at some BBS wheels, the new Air II CY's look stunning.

Think they are about 500 a piece in the uk

God all this car business is getting expensive, I only passed my test 2 weeks ago ha! and the debt it piling!
