Anybody got any experience with the two Notts dealers, i.e West bridgeford of Daybrook ?, for servicing and warranty work ?
-
Where do you live pal,I lived in west bridgeford for a while
-
im out in Hucknall, i bought the car from Pride park but just wondered what the two notts places are like for warranty etc
-
I use both West Bridgford and Daybrook. The car was purchased from West Bridgford along with nightmare stories about damage to my car in transit and salesmen trying to cover things up.
But from a servicing point of view I use Daybrook because some of the service reception staff go back to the old John Fox days and are quite helpful. Do not however let them wash the car as part of the service, your car will be scratched by the gritty sponges.
I leave a notice in the car DO NOT WASH THIS VEHICLE.
That said the foreman at Daybrook is good and helpful.
-
dont worry i never let them wash my cars, where is the service part at Daybrook ?
-
The Service reception is in the showroom with the workshop at the back between the showroom and bodyshop.
-
ahh, ok, thx

Hello, I bought my GTI new from Daybrook and they did my 1st service and are due to do my 2nd service in a couple of weeks time. No complaints so far. I always get a quote from Newbolds in Mansfield who are usually cheaper, and Daybrook match it (Daybrook is more convenient for me)
-
ok, what did the 1st service cost ?
-
It was about £80 but i'm on the time and distance service schedule.

Agree with this - my GTI was a demo at Daybrook and it had swirls so it must have been washed by the gritty sponge brigade - no two bucket use going on there! Can't comment on service but had a good experience with the Sales Manager (whos car I bought!) - whole deal over the phone and got the price I wanted for my TT and they drove the GTI over to the Northwest and took mine away - felt weird buying a car sat on your ar$e but well pleased with what I got

was your the Black demo ? :lipsrsealed:
-
I take it you took out a black one and gave it some
Mines steel grey (got it last November). No doubt with mine being a demo it would have had it's fair share of throttle bashing  Was after black for a while but was difficult finding the spec I wanted - this one had all the options I had been looking for and quickly had to find a steel grey locally just to see the colour as by the time I would have had chance to get over to Nottingham suspect it would have gone!
