Title: What's This???

Could you please tell me what the circled part is in the photo as I've just had the bonnet up and noticed it clicking repeatidly, similar noise to the ignition on a gas cooker/boiler. However, I turned the ignition off and back on and the noise has stopped. Being a mechanical numpty I have no idea what it is... "Water pump" maybe??? What's the clicking???

Post by: ub7rm on 11 May 2008, 20:09: Well as said its totally normal. I believe its to do with recovering petrol vapour........or something like that. Cycles on and off. If its off and you blip the throttle it should kick in. I believe as it gets older the ticking gets louder. Eventually it explodes.......... :wink:
