Welcome mate

I would make it a show car. MK2 Golfs are getting very sought after, you dont really want to be hammering it to death round a track. Make a show car of it and you will be amazed at how many people will comment on it! I was filling up with petrol earlier and some bloke in a BMW said how nice my Golf was, really puts a smile on your face!

As for suspension....hmmm...soooo many kits out there. I would steer clear of the cheap brands and keep with the well known brands like Koni, Spax etc. I had Eibach 40mm lowering springs and Bilstien shocks on my valver and the handling was fantastic. I kept with the 15" wheels and put Yoko rubber on them, to this day I would say it handled as well if not better than my old Pug 1.9 GTI.

Put some pics up of her mate
