This all started when i noticed that my drivers side front wheel was back slightly further than the passenger. So i thought hey no problem ill just change the wish bone as its probably bent where some dildo the owned the car previously whacked it and the bushes were worn a bit any way. I bought a new wishbone and ball joint from GSF for £54 (bargin) and went about fitting it when i got home. My problems started when the front bolt was mahoosivly tight and started rounding off. I managed to get it undone slightly eventually but the bolt was seized to the spacer in the middle of the rubber bush. After much swearing and busting of knuckles i concluded that the bolt wasnt coming out by any way that i could manage at home with basic tools ( halfords socket set and a f*kin big hammer )
Has anyone else had this problem and if so how did they sort it out as i am close to just taking a hammer to the whole car.
And also just to bang the nail in the coffin the bolt wont budge back in and the spline has come out from the inside of the outer CV
If any one could help me it would be much appreciated and would save another mk3 16v from being used as a barbeque

Its an Impact Wrench... Has not snapped a bolt either since Ive been using it !! I sheared off 1 bolt using a socket set, on the remaining 3 bolts used the impact wrench and they all come of without snapping !!

Never done a wishbone but years of working on Beetles & copeous amounts of WD40 and/or applying heat never fails!! :afro:
-
the problem with it is that the bolt is seized to the bush, so everytime i turn it it turns the bush
so i cannot remove the bolt. i have tried prizing it, smashing it with a hammer and various other forms of violence including lots of swearing

Could you use a ball joint remover like this?
