Title: What lights to buy...
Post by: ToRo on 06 May 2008, 17:42
I'm after some sort of smoked headlights for my MK3, I was thinking of morette's but I don't think it's a wise investment moneywise, so if anyone knows of any decent looking smoked headlights, can you post pics/links for me to browse?

Thanks in advance!

don't know any, but having seen a bloke i know put morrette/hella quads on his mk3 all i can say is

with lights you generally get what you pay for, some might be shiney and cool looking but suffer from bad/cheap construction which always shows up!

You can take apart your standard headlight and spray part of it black, so when you put it back together again, it looks darker. I have a link I think ( ) just need to find it ....

I'm steering away from the morette's me thinks.

I just don't wanna shell out loads for lights that look crap... I could sell them on, but it's just the hassles really lol :P

Also - headlights with indicators, will this mean that they will work rather than the ones on the bumper or both?

Worth giving a try if your going to get new ones anyway. Btw the method they use can be varied, just use initiative.

headlights tend to be a very individual thing and it generally has a lot to do with the colour of the car and the styling that is trying to be achieved

i will reiterate what ...joe has said though and that is to go for quality... if it means you are paying top dollar then so be it but don't buy cr@p as you'll just be wasting your money
