2 VR6 lumps. If it had an actual W12 in a Lupo I would of been impressed.

its a mental prospect.... but in reality it is money wasted.

Im really not a fan of cars like this tbh... they are just pointless... like a lupo will handle with 2 VR6's in it, any one with a charged lupo GTI will probably be quicker on a country road and probably a track for that matter and will have spent bugger all compared to this guy...

fair play to him for doing it all by himself though

Nah. Been quite a few cars with twin engine setups. I appreciate the engineering involved but a W12 would of been impressive. The logistics of putting something like that in a car that small are crazy. They only just managed to get it in a Golf and make it work, just. And it is an amazing engine

i see where you're coming from but surely 2 relatively large engines in a car that small is by no means a small feat?

the build thread is somewhere on edition 38, i read it a few days ago, and honestly, even if it doesnt handle well or go that fast (which honestly i think it probbaly will be reletivly quick) who cares, you know anyone else with a twin vr6 lupo? no? well, that makes it a one off, and that makes it special.

i think this guy has put alot of effort into it (obviously) and will get alot mroe out of it, than someone simply whacking a charger or whatever onto a lupo gti.

and seriously, what the hell are you doing looking on maxpower website daniel-1986? its just wrong.

Theres a bloke at the moment stuffing a hayabusa engine in the back of a lupo and stickin carbon front wings and bonnet on it , when its done it should shift a touch

Like the haybusa mk 1 then?

An that lupos nuts, remember seeing the build thread before he put the engines in an someone was like "that car will be really slow because of the weight of the 2 Engines"

Sorry twit..... 2 x VR6 in lupo = pretty nipppy in my eyes, bet it will doughnut a treat an all!

Maybe I'm just being picky - but don't they need to be mounted side by side to make a W12?!

Ahh well still a damn impressive bit of work.

now i'm probs gonna be picky and say its a w12 if its a single unit running as one surely?  ie joined as one unit, and not 2 mounted side by side as that would make it twin still

is it just me , but surly this will drive very badly , the 2 engines would need to produce the same amount of power at the same time , or else one would drag or pull the other ? and vise versa , im no engineer though!
as said its an amazing project and hats off to the guy for attemping it !
