just wondering if there is any bushes that you can replace which dont require special tools, That can be done at home on your drive. just want to start poly bushing everything but to save money on yousing a garage i want to be able to do this myself, be a massive help thank you .

I'm pretty sure you can fit all polybushes yourself, if not with a bit of force then by making up a tool with a couple of big washers, nuts and a bolt :smiley:

which ones would be the most easy to fit - anti roll bars , exhaust rubbers , strut tops

I've never done them myself, just been reading various things on various forums ready for when i do, so anything i say isn't first hand experience, just the experiences that quite a few people have written!

i replaced the rear axle bushes on my mk2 and the new ones were a piece of piss to replace, getting the old ones out were another story, i had to burn the rubber out with fire :laugh: :laugh: then cut the metal sleeve with a hacksaw and prise it out, never done any other bushes so i couldn tell you how hard they would be to do. :cool:

i've polybushed a rallye before. some were easy some not so. weirdly alot were easier by hand than by inventing some sort of tool. i also stuck them in a pan of hot water to soften them up to make installation easier.

which ones did you find the easiest to do gona start with them first and build up or i mite just by the full kit and work threw them
