Title: Mk1 convertable clipper gti front wire loom

Hi,
I have a prob with my mk1 golf convertable clipper, the front light wiring loom has burnt out, the lights work outside the car, but as soon as I plug them into the light units it blows the fuse.  Now i know i have a negative earth sumwhere, and i was wondering if ne1 had either the front light wiring loom or the whole loom for the car, or knew where to go to pick one up????  As i cant seem 2 get hold of 1 of these newhere.

Chances are its the wire for the dash lights (very common) its a grey wire with a blue line that runs around all over the place behind the dash, probably just come off one of its terminals (check all switches)  :smiley:

hi mate you can get an uprated loom from ebay for either single or twin headlight grills very easy to fit and come complete with instructions
they are 38 quid for twin lights  :wink:
