-
Rob, why does your sig say Candy White??
-
Ooops old car, better change it.

That last picture looks THE NUTS.... I don know if it's the back ground, lighting or the car but it looks fab.
Your car is on sportlines / standard shocks and 19" BBS CH's if I'm correct. Any rubbing at all Fr / Rr with those 19's on and hows the ride ?.
I think thats me sorted then Eibach Sportlines...

Looks mint that pal very nice
-
Cheers,
Martin - Sportlines with Standard Shocks, im not sure if to go for H&R cant decide if they are alittle lower,
sportlines are fine and alittle smoother ride, no rubbing at all just relocate the screw on front inner arch
and no problem.

Cheers for that...
What sort of exhaust are you using with your R32 rear end... IMO that's a 110% improvement
Just look at the first picture and compare it to the last...
reminds me of the picture RR posted of him collecting his car from new, now look at it.

The exhaust is custom made full functional,
Its alittle less restrictive and give a tad more sound (Not Loud)

How much did all that R32 rear come to (parts, labour, paint etc) ?
-
Love them rims mate .... remind me of my old Corrado wheels ..... t%$t to clean tho
-
Thats looking well smart Rob.
-
Lovely transformation . The drop looks just right as it is.
The R32 looks really good, like RR's and is very successful
-
Rob you have the Midas touch when it comes to modding cars...
Very tastefully done.

I agree - The R32 'spoiler' is the best arse Holly Valance could have!

Rob is showing very consistent good taste! The R32 rear looks especially good in silver.

custom made by who? looks good
-
@redrobin
how come you remove the vw center caps of your monzas?
-
I want to do this but i would need a new exhaust system so that the tailpipes are in the centre (like the R32). Who makes these type and where can they be ordered?
-
Think Milltek do one

@redrobin
how come you remove the vw center caps of your monzas?
....It saves valuable milliseconds whenever I do a pit stop!
The truth is that a while ago one got nicked (tiny mark as leverage evidence on a 17") and I replaced it at £5 cost. Then I lost another one and thought blow this if it's going to cost me a fiver everytime. When I inspected the other 3 for any evidence of forced removal (which there wasn't), I noticed the dreaded 'white worm' so I thought blow this and decided to remove them all. I've been on the lookout for either some BBS ones or carbonfibre ones which fit, but the Monza caps seem to be an odd size.
-
i noticed red robin, you have a BIG white worm problem with all your monza II's at santa pod, im surprised youve not got these repaired because it doesnt do justice to the condition of the car. as you look after your GTi with kid gloves, are you holding out for a new set of wheels and thats why you left them to get quite bad or just cant be asked????
-
i think redrobins gti would look good with some 19" black alloys are maybe some bbs rx
nice number plate aswell
-
....I'm waiting for the white worms to get even worse before taking them to Lepsons and having them powder-coated to a dark silver to match the Ed30 colour. After my white worm experience I won't want a diamond-cut+lacquer finish again!
I think that the Monza design is too specific to the Mk5 GTI to want to change it - Very easy design to clean too .
I personally don't like the look of black alloys on a red car.
