Title: Questions
Post by: Rosie on 01 May 2008, 13:22
Hiya, got a couple of random questions for ya.

No. 1- when you are opening your car with the key fob, you push it once and it only opens the driver door right. So you get in and are driving along and see your mate so you stop to pick them up, but they can't open the door!!! How do you get it open with out turning off your engine, taking the key out and pushing the open button in a frenzy till it unlocks??? It drives me mad.

No. 2- I noticed something yesterday that i have never before noticed in the car. Next to the drivers seat, beside the door, there is a little button, what is it???  :undecided: I pushed it and it changed colour, but nothing happened, then when i got back in the car, it had changed back to the origional colour. Its confusing me somewhat.

I no you are prob thinking "why doesn't she just go look at her manual", well you see, i didnt get one

And also! I can't believe it but the bloody thing wants serviced already! Only done a couple thou miles in it!

Anyway, cheers!

Had that key fob/door issue recently on a hire car (Mk5 Tdi) and solution was to press the open button on the fob twice!

No2 is to turn off the volumetric alarm.

ie the alarm sensors inside will be disabled, leaving just the door sensors etc.

So you can leave kids/dogs/cats/fish/monkeys/etc inside your car and still lock it :)

No.2 Think it has two functions - volumetric side of the alarm, and motion sensor e.g for on ferrys etc.

Well after the whole "I love" episode len, me thinks i should keep me trap shut eh.

Moving on, i might be on line tonight, was gona have a wee dance off with morgan and tidy up the hoose a bit.

No the car isnt new  i got it from Arnold Clarke (do you have that in England?) im not happy that its not got one and might go back to them and say. Do i need it for getting it serviced? Have never had to have a car serviced before so im a bit unsure of the ins and outs.
