Does anyone have any ideas as to what I should clean my roof with. It's the vinyl type, and it's getting a few faded patches on it.
Can I use black bumper polish or event boot polish? or is there a special cleaner?
Thanks

I found 'JIF' or 'CIF' or whatever its called now ::) works well with a scrubbing brush. Follow that with an application of bumper care or plastic/vinyl rejuvenator type stuff.
However, mine is white, so not sure the same procedure would work for a black roof :-\

Last year I used a cleaner and then a seperate protector from Autoglym, it is specific to cabriolet hoods so you should be able to find it. The cleaner brought it up quite well but my hood is black mohair and it didn't get the faded bits out. The protector is fantastic though as it causes water to form into droplets and then roll of the hood.

Lovely sportline you have there, but then i am biased cus I've got one exactly like it. I'll look out for it at GTI fest (assuming you are going)

I use a sponge soaked in Back to Black, or any other silicone spray, then wipe it over the roof. It has brought mine up really nicely and lasts for ages. Plus all the water runs straight off it.
nice car too ;)

I tried Cif at the weekend at it took my ages!!
Tried some All Purpose cleaner and that did the trick in about 5 mins!!!
Used AutoGlym Vinyl Care afterwards....
