Title: Help What is this and why is it clicking like mad!

OK my mate has a 1987 GTI 8V Super chip few other small mods,

Her is a pic i stole lol http://i83.photobucket.com/albums/j283/nhoyglun/0708140004.jpg the thing that clikcs is long hooks up to the air intake pipe and sits on a mount on top of the rocker cover!


Has power going to coil and fuel going to head it just barrels and barrels !

Also the car has not been lying un-started for a year does the lifter loses oil in GTi's!


Any ideas welcom we are going to tow car this weekend for a while with IGN off to see if we can raise OIL pressure then try and start it but untill then all info welcome!

ICV can you explain what it does it has an electric plug goin in to it would it result in it not firing ?

It shouldnt stop it firing at all, ISV = Idle stabalization valve and it does what it says, evens out the idle to make the tickover smooth.
