Title: so... my bro got his TDI
Post by: Rmachines on 28 April 2008, 23:45
Wow they pull realy well i like it

anyway.. It had a little accident damage but with the help of my GTI being broken its looking realy tidy!

Now he has a problem and im sure some one here will know as i have heard of it before.

At full boost at 85mph ish the turbo will cut and go into "limp mode" untill the engine is turned off and back on,  What is the cause of this?   Could it be a whole host of sensors/faults or is there a comon cause we could look at first.

Cheers.

My mum's Audi A2 has this problem, has been diagnosed as the turbo being sooted up apparently, and the the variable veins then cant react quick enough, thus over boosting and the ECU cr*pping itself and shutting the turbo off. was told it was a common fault, but thats all i know.

Havent fixed ours yet
