Title: Got myself a new motor!!! Not a GTi, but working my way up haha!

M reg 1994 1.6i MK3 with power steering, electric sunroof, black, 5 door, 80000 miles on the clock for Ã‚£695 ;)

4 new tyres, new cam belt, very clean engine and inside, only a couple of problems due to some people who dislike people with nice things :angry:

Some people tried to break in the passeneger side so there is now a hole behind the lock, but shall be sorted soon!

Not a GTi, but I'm working on it due to age and insurance prices :o

I paid Ã‚£2300 for my first years insurance on my valver!!!! worth every penny :smiley:

when I was 20 I was paying just over a grand for a mk3 16v... it was my 2nd year driving the car though with 1yrs no claims and 3 points

Post by: VW_08 on 29 April 2008, 19:29: good, i always tell young drivers to get their own insurance, otherwise they stay on mum and dads till their god knows how old and then when they eventually get their own they have a high premium to pay even though their over 20 :rolleyes:

my insurance on my 1.4 mk3 golf is Ã‚£800 , im hoping when i loose my points i will be able to afford a gti :cool:
