Title: Looking for a 3dr ED30 in red
Post by: lsc on 28 April 2008, 13:27
If you have a 3dr ED30 in red and you are considering selling, let me know. I'm a private buyer, looking for a UK car, basic spec with less than 10,000 miles on the clock that's been well looked after.

I've just sold my Alfa GT 3.2 (fantastic car, vpoor build quality!!) so I’m looking to buy ASAP.

You'll be hearing a lot more from me when I'm an ED30 owner!!

I might.....someone I know was selling one a while back with stupidly low mileage.  It was a DSG though but no other options as far as I know.  Can see if it's still for sale if you like?

Blimey that was quick!! I was looking for a manual really, haven’t driven a DSG….yet, but I would consider it at the right price. Give him a try golfgirl!

Yes, if it’s for sale at the moment and listed on the net I’ve probably checked it out. I was originally holding out for one with the factory fit RCD500 & 10 speakers which meant dismissing quite a few that fitted the bill, but I’ve since decided I’m gonna go for the standard fit stereo and fit my own upgraded system after reading Hurdy’s posts.

Just been to my dealer in Bristol, Heritage and there is a brand new red 3dr (i think) edition 30 sitting in the showroom.  Don't know the price but looked very nice...

aren't the ed30's cursed? Get a normal GTi, much safer bet, lower accident rate

You know what it's like, once you've set ya heart on summat, nothing, not even curses can change your mind (or the wife!).

This fits the bill but the mileage is too high, it's more than twice my yearly average.

There are also a couple on Pistonheads that are ideal, but have been sold and the add not removed.

Thanks for your help guys

Yep, seen that Cass, white is the only other colour I would consider but still takes second place to red. Some nice options on that hence the price, which is quite a lot more than I want to pay. If i was gonna pay that much, I would also be considering a new Scirocco (pity it's not as good looking as a Golf).

Red Ed30 is the daddy!! , you have good taste, looks better in the flesh, it looks totally different then tornado red, more like Cherry Red.(http://i154.photobucket.com/albums/s264/philmcavity/QueenmaryVictoriaNEd30013.jpg)

Red ED30's are the best!

Shame I'm not selling mine as I think it fits the bill perfectly

Maybe in six months time, though...

Cheers
John

Yep, I totally agree. Red it's got to be...maybe it doesn't help that there's a big fat red 2 door ED30 in the Golf brochure I have!! I often see a black ED30 around where I live, but until you get up close and see the wheels you would think it was a standard GTi.

...and 10

I'm sure you'd be wanting top dollar for yours as well with all those extravagant extras! If I waited another 6 months I think I would go mad, I have a Saab 9-3 diesel sportwagen loan car from work at the moment and the turbo lag is very old school and feels like it was built in Korea...very disappointing.
