Thought we would say goodbye for now having picked up our new car: number 142 of 200 Mitsubishi Evo 9 FQ360 MR, from my local Ralliart dealership on 18th :evil: (same day as Phil picked up the Ed30). Will keep an eye on her Phil so look after it!! :grin: And will keep a watching eye on the forum. Ben hope you enjoy the Miltek. Carry on enjoying the GTI/Ed30 to the rest of you. Will look for you on the roads!! :laugh:

nice choice, i did consider one of those, but wife hated the looks of it, and the servicing and fuel did put me off a little, and the interior, thats said awesome car though :evil: :evil:

£28K, and have to say that it was money well worth spending. It makes me grin everytime I open the door, the speed is phenomenal, yeah the servicing is a bit on the ouch side, but so far don't think theres a huge difference in the fuel bill, depending on how its driven working on between 40-60 miles difference per tank.

Beautiful looking car but I am in the same boat as 182_blue in that the missus hates the EVO and Impreza's so have never even really looked into them.

Lucky for me the wife took it out whilst I was at work, told me that night and said all I can say is its f...ing quick!!! The other thing she was worried about was the sound, which shocked us both, in car can't hear unless you take out the exhaust bung. We were both a bit concerned about build quality having owned a VW for many years, but this also seems to have come up trumps!!

woosh, a lot of carbon fibre.Like the Evo's but that ones a little to extreme for me.I am sure it will be a blast to drive,I really like the evo10 they have made the gap between services a bit longer this time.

I love the look of the Evo over the Scooby but just a little too hardcore for me.... bet its a shizzel load of fun tho!! Enjoy :cool:

evo ten looks the buzziness but the boot is tinnie winny!!!, has a large sub in the boot, which takes up half of it.Interia is quality, had a sit in one when i collected Phylis. :wink:

....And also I think the Evo X has Recaros in the rear - It simply won't be as practical as an allrounder as our beloved GTI. Great piece of kit though! :cool:

I would have to say no, which I am very :shocked: to say because have had VW for many years but the Evo which I had never considered before is absolutely awesome, loving it at the moment!! Its just so quick. Just watched on UTube Evo MR the same as this one does 0-150 in 22 secs!!

The V was what got me started in the 1st place. Test drove it and was impressed but as Phil has said on checking out the boot with a little one just not practical, wouldn't have got the shopping, let alone the pushchair in it!! Then had a test drive in this one and it just wowed me.

Spot on.. My mates Evo V RS Sprint does standstill to limiter in top gear in 15 secs.. :tongue: It's an absolute animal, mental fast.. THough 360's go very well too. As quick as my Golf is now, don't think it live with a IX 360..

The 200 MRs (this one being 142) had a HKS tuning kit which delivers 366bhp at 6887rpm and 363lb ft (492Nm) of torque at 3200rpm and 0-60 in just 3.9 secs!!

Fantastic looking and performing car, like others though running costs for me would be the killer - if I didnt use it so much then I would love one.
Followed an Evo X FQ300 SST the other day in white, very discreet looking (well I say that but I spotted it and caught up to have a look), not sure on the looks compared to the old one, they seem to have lost a bit of that external style. Exhaust postitions seem odd - maybe looks better in a different colour.
