Title: Will this block fit my 1.8 8V GTI

My engine block is on its way out, will this one fit?  Mine is the first of the 90's spec.
I think its the PB engine.

i think the engine code is meant to be 3a not a3 in that listing, if thats so then yeah it will fit.
