Title: Trouble getting into first gear!

As Above, My gti has trouble going into first gear. Anyone had this problem before? Hope its nothing major!

Does it get in when the engine is not running.

Depends what gearbox it is really. In the meantime just quickly nip it in 2nd before first. Chances are it'll be the synchromesh in the gearbox. You'll get into a habit of putting it in 2nd quickly before first before you know it!
