I got some new bulbs today which make the headlights brighter which I like, and they came with 2 blue sidelight bulbs, and it does look cool, but my car is green.
So question is, can I buy these:

They would be my sidelights then, and green to match the car. Is it legal to have green sidelights?

White is the only colour you can leagaly use for the headlight/sidelight bulbs.
-
The ones I've got atm have a blue tint to them so they look blue but still are white if that makes sense? Don't think I'll get pulled for them but would prefer the ones like I have now, but with a green tint instead to match the car...
...should I just do it anyway? lol! The police wouldn't fine me if I changed them there and then would they?
-
I think this is a sticky situation.
its the transition between lookin good and looking chavish, very fine line!
i always seen fiesta's and astra flying past with blue sidelights.
if in doubt go white! :D
mite av to just try em n see what they look like, as for police, they prob would pull you im just sure they hate golfs! lol
-
I know what you mean, but all the lights I've seen chavs use are really bright or they are LEDs next to or within the light, doesn't tend to be the bulb itself which is different. I'll get these green ones and see, only a couple of quid so not all bad lol!

Pure white LED sidelights will look crisp and new, i'd get them personally
-
i'm using some xenon look sidelight bulbs.... look very  at dusk
and my sidelights are the old school 233 capped bulbs not those simple 501 capless one's!! check which you have better buying!

Boney - What's the difference with the ones you have as your sidelights then? What makes them better?

Is the blue hint actually visible?

im sporting at OE looking set up (well, same as the mk 4 golf company car) with the hids and then the standard sidelight bulbs (as seen in my sig), for some reason i love the look, but on the jap car i got some white led sidelights a few year ago from japan, cant remember the brand but its a very expensive one and they are fantastic, might get some for the golf... i used some cheepo led sidelight bulbs in my old escort runner and they blew after a few month.... bloody crap!!
-
this shows how they light up (mind the misses but i havent got any other pic's with the lights on!!) they show up brighter clear white with just a little blue tint (like xenon's so they say?)

Bought some. Should have some bright bulbs soon me thinks
-
I braught some led side light bulbs, 2 sets infact, one white and one blue. Put the blue ones in first and they were very blue, infact too blue so swapped em to the white ones which actually have a purple tinge to them which match my car and im happy with them. When i had the blue ones in saw a couple of coppers staring at my car so i knew it was only a matter of time before i got pulled so if you put these green ones in be vigilant coz eventually you will be stopped.

my "laser blue" sidelights are just white, lol.
