Title: To debadge or not to debadge?
Post by: Shady Pioneer on 24 April 2008, 17:14
I know most will say keep it original and keep the badge, but after thinking about it, the debadged front grill looks pretty mean.

http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/VW-Golf-MK3-3-Debadged-Sport-Grille-GTI-16V-TDI-VR6-WOB_W0QQitemZ130215262452QQihZ003QQcategoryZ43118QQssPageNameZWDVWQQrdZ1QQcmdZViewItem#ebayphotohosting

I want to know if that's the one which most people go for when getting one, and obviously I'll get it sprayed to match the car.

What do we think?

I only like Mk3 Debadged grills when they are colour coded, so if thats what you are going to do then I say go for it :afro:

I have tried the badgeless grill and decided against it...and my badge is now body coloured but i think chrome is due for a comeback??

I'm gonna get one, get it sprayed asap and then I'm banging lol! I think whilst I'm at it I'll get the rear spoiler colour coded too. I do like it with the badge but I want something a bit different, because at first sight it look like a normal car, at least when I'm driving along mine will stand out a bit more than the regulars, it's only a subtle mod anyway that'll make me feel better lol!

Having it debadged does give it a more bad boy look, and people instantly recognise your car is into some sort of modded stage which is nice.

Wizzkid, get off ya arse and get it done mate lol! Need these cars looking the shizzle for the summer!
