Very nice mate.. Is she a brand spanker, or just new to you? Either way, you'll enjoy it..
What spec you got?

She was a brand spanker when i got her about 6 weeks ago  500 miles on the clock now.

17" Monza's, iPod Prep, Armrest, Anthracite Leather, Xenons, Winter Pack and Black Pearl Paint.

Wife uses her for work most day's, i get her evenings and weekends, oh and whenever it needs fuel or cleaning !

I actually like detailing, and love it when the car gleams.

edit

Forgot, DSG as well.

Went for the 17's as I test drove a GTI with them on and then a friends who had the 17's, and found them to make the ride a bit softer.

I agree they do look a lot better at 18", but I had 18's on my S4 and kept kerbing them at £300 each. Where I live the roads are quite narrow at some places and you have to mount the kerb to get past, having that extra sidewall makes all the difference. The wife "crunched" 2 wheels in the first week of ownership with the S4, not a mark on these in almost 6 weeks! Well worth it IMO.

Didn't go for the Sat Nav, couldnt justify that amount of cash as I have a £100 TomTom One that does a great job.

You'll like Megs, its soo easy to use.

My only regret is not getting the Highline computer, the dealer advised me at the time that there was no real difference in the 2. Boy was he wrong.

I resolved this by getting VagCom, does a lot more!

Ha, its off to Millau next month, South of France huge suspension bridge shown on Top Gear! I take my cars away regularly to give them a "Blow Out" as the speed limits 35mph here!

You know I did 2 laps of the Nurburgring in my traded in S4 right ? lol!

That Quik Detailer and 2 microfibre cloths are in the glove box, used after every rain shower, and I check it (wheels especially as the wifes not a great driver) every day!

I love that car!

Pic of me about to do my 1st lap of the ring, silly thing to do in a 40k car with only 3rd party insurance while racing it   :smug:

Wife was taking the pics, wasnt happy when she realised exactly what I was doing! I told her it was just a road that used to be a racetrack once.....

In Guernsey you can have black number plates front and rear with no trouble at all. In fact most cars here have black with silver numbers. There are no letters in the number plates, only numbers, starting at number 1, up to around 70 000 now. They must lose numbers or something as only 60k people live here? Numbers sell for around £250 for a 4 digit, i.e. 1234 and £1500 - £3000 for a 3 digit, 123, and a heck of a lot higher for a 1 or 2 digit. The Vehicle Licensing Authority hold auctions for numbers, you can request a number in advance and if it comes available you can bid on it.

35mph limit maximum everywhere but there are Audi RS4's, R8's, many Porsches, BMW's and Ferraris!! No points system on your license, but you get banned straight away for high speeds, and drink driving gets you a 3 year ban and around £1000 fine

Nice car!

I agree the GTI looks at it's best on the 18 inch Monza II (or Detroit as called here in NL). However the inch Denvers actually appear to be the more practical choice. They lend them a bit better to inner city abuse (kerbs etc), have a lower unsprung weight., and a bit more comfort whilst remaining the suspension and handling advantages.
I won't get the infamous EVO tyre test into the discussion, as there are also a few tests claiming the 18's produce faster times.

For me this, and the fact that I was approaching my max budget, was the reason I selected the Denvers.

However, I really do love the look of the Detroits more every day and have been making some inquiries at my lease company if it is possible to buy a set of them and add these in the contract (ie higher payment due to more expensive tyres, possible replacement and damage repair etc). No luck sofar,
