Well, went down to Maidstone today to look at one and it was perfect. Just what Im after for the price I'm after. Put my deposit down on her and just sorting out finance as I type. Should hopefully be picking her up next Saturday as Im away for my 21st this weekend.
Managed to get him to knock £500 off, got 1 years Tax, 11 months MOT and a service before I pick her up. Really chuffed, cant wait to pick her. Soz about the pics, could only take them on my phone.

Its not massively speced up as my budget wasn't huuuge. Its got the winter pack on it with heated seats and all that. Glass sunroof and 6 CD changer. Id have liked the 18 monzas but never mind.
Oh, its also got brand new Goodyear Eagle F1s on it.

Yeah something like that! I may take a drive up that way tomorow to find the garage first. BUt what i'll do is carry on past brands (as i come the opposite way to you) and drive up to Swanley till i find a BP :smug: :laugh:

Just got off the phone to VW and finance is all sorted. I have saved my insurance quote and will be paying that tonight. Im going to push to go and pick her up tomrorow (In time for Brands) Only thing is it will be tax as of Thursday and not tomorrow (will VW let me drive it away knowing they are letting me drive off with a car that is not taxed for at least 12 hours?). If not Saturday it is !!!

For the moment I am, pretty skint now lol
I was thinking of getting some light tints as I think it goes well with the black and its ROASTING in there when its been in the sun. It needs to get detailed as there are swirls all over her, but thats for next month when I get paid.

I missed this thread earlier. Sunshine roof is a very overlooked extra - Wind down your door windows just an inch when the roof is fully open - It releases the cabin air pressure. It's an excellent roof - The best I've experienced on any car.
F1's are the best so far too imo - I've had Continentals and Bridgestones. F1 Assymetrics for me next.

I've only had it for 1 day and I'm in love. Really need to get over this power phase as its costing me a fortune in petrol already lol. Give me a week and I think I will be ok.

i know youve sworn by mk4's before alan, but you will find it hard to fall outa love with the mk5.it doesnt get any easier!!, you'd of thought after havin 3 of them,id be bored or novelty would of worn off, but i hate to say it hasnt!!!.
keep it happy by feeding it 99. wash twice weekly, and its balls waxed as many times,and it likes its picture taken regular aswell!.

I am cleaning the MK4 tomorrow and getting some pics for AutoTrader so will get some nice ones of the MK4 and MK5 together while I still have her, will also try and get some nice ones of the MK5 while I'm at it (is it wrong to clean her after having her 1 day? It rained yesterday so shes looking dirty already :laugh:)
I have told the MK4 lot that I have got the MK5 now but I will stay in touch as there a good bunch, am I at least allowed out at weekend? :D

Nice car. Exactly like mine when i got it.
All you got to do now is colourcode all the bumpers, change those gayrish red rear lights to some R32 smoked darker type and paint that front VW badge matt black :grin:
