Title: ED30 alarm/immoboliser type?

Hi quick question

Im picking up my new ED30 next tuesday - cant wait!!

trying to get some insurance quotes now

what catergory alarm/immoboliser is fitted on there for insurance quote purposes?

it's a thatcham category 1. Possibly. I don't really know either. Rhyso was kind enough to respond.

every car these days has cat 1, just say its standard alarm and immobilizer  Tbh they are only interested if you have anything over and above the normal standard security

cant wait to get my car - been without a car for 4weeks now - feels like lifetime!

Try Bell!, some dont like them but 9/10 people ive told to try or who have already tried they came out the cheapest... Can't fault their service or support either although have thankfully not yet had the pleasure of submitting a claim  :grin:

I went  to moneysupermarket and there was an insurance company called Performance Direct (who?) quoted me £450 for fully comp on my prospective GTi eSure came in at £531 approximately. I think I will go for eSure as I have never heard of Performance Direct. Just checked on Bell and they were pretty much in line with esure.
