Title: VW Oil Pouch
Post by: NewGolf on 22 April 2008, 15:17
Well 12 days ago I bid and won a VW Oil pouch, (the one that sits in your boot with velco on the back) from fleabay. Still no sign of it, and as I won it for 99 pence, plus £3.00 postage(no one else bid on it), it looks like the guy selling it has reposted it without sending it out to me. I sent payment straight away via paypal which he received. He now wont respond to any emails so I'll report him tonight,

Here's the item, REPOSTED with just over 2 hours to go.

Not happy, its only a few quid but I bid up to £5 plus postage for it.

Ebay's full of people like that. I try to find other places to buy stuff to afford the hassle.

Start a dispute with pay pal and report him to Ebay.

As I wanted 2, I bought another from here

Turned up the next day, great service and a great bag.

I'll start a dispute tonight.

I also have the guys address from paypal......

With some people you never do know what the service is like, regardless to feedback; one reason I hate Ebay. I like to see the product I'm buying in person if possible.

I think just because it sold for 99p, he couldn't be bothered to post it even though he charges £3 delivery, (the other one I bought had a £1 stamp on it and came in a second hand jiffy bag), so he just took the money and reposted it.

I've bought stuff for 99p before and had the items posted. I was wary whether they'd bother though.

Considering he charged £3 postage for your item I think it very unfare relisting the item just because he wanted more money for it. He should know that's the risk with Ebay and just accept it. It's bad trading. If he wanted a set amount he should have sold it as a 'buy it now' or started the sale at a higher amount.

I got one with the car, already fixed in the boot.
I guess you didn't then? did you take it up with the supplier of the car?

Not sure if you can report him until 14 days have passed?

As soon as you do report him Paypal will withdraw the funds straight from his account

Give him some bad feedback and defo report him - what a lazy ar$ehole.  I didn't get one with my car although it came with some Castrol Oil and its kinda strapped to the left side of the boot - figured this was standard, obviously not and some bugger has nicked it.  TT had a little pouch like this but no velcro on it - now we know why VW don't colour code GTI bumpers - spending their money "pimpin" oil pouches

Trouble is, when you leave idiots like this bad feedback they tend to leave you bad feedback even though they are clearly in the wrong. They like to lie too, pretending you changed your mind and didn't pay up or something.

i dont leave negative feedback, stupid i know but as above they just leave it back (although i did read somewhere that ebay was changing feedback again so sellers couldnt comment or leave neg . ?)

It just seems unfair as I'd have happily used "Buy it now" for £5.00 plus the £3 postage. The other mobil pouch i bought was great, even came with a little fill up kit and gloves and wipe. I have over 100 positive feedback and would worry that if I leave him bad feedback he'll mess up my statistics.

I didn't get any spare oil, nor a bag when i got the GTI from new, and got charged for oil when it went in for a 30 day check up.

If he sells it this time for 99p, hes only going to make 20 pence more as he put his postage up to £3.20. What a Jerk.

he probably has a few of them looking at his other items, they nick them out of the boot of cars

Apologies, DaveN, didnt realise you'd actually won it as well, I thought you meant you were bidding on it at the moment. Jeez is this guy crazy selling the same item again and again until he gets a large amount for it?

Are you supposed to get one of these pouches with your new car? With oil inside, or is that hoping for too much!

I have dealt with bad sellers before and paypal has always sorted it out. It is the best way to pay on ebay. I looked at the sellers total feedback and as around 1200 sales it would sound odd if he was dodgy.
I'll wait until next week and then if it doesn't show up I'll start a paypal claim.

Hello - I'm new here having just bought a GTi in the last month or so - but I bought an oil pouch from the same seller and it turned up within a couple of days.

I paid 99p as well - no other bidders

Ok so it sold again for 99p. I have taken up a claim against the "£$%^^&^ £$%ker ebayer who calls himself leesmondeo. The poor guy that won it may also be a GTI owner, "gticorrieri" is his ebay username. I have sent him a message via eBay, details below

Dear gticorrieri,

Hi Friend
I see you have won the auction for a VW Oil Bag. I also won this auction 2 weeks ago for 99 pence, but the seller relisted the item as I believe he didnt get the amount he was wishing. Please be careful as I dont believe you will receive this item. Another person on one of the forums I use also bid and won this item, and again has yet to receive it. I have today started a claim against the seller.

I hope this helps keep you safe.

Best regards

If you read his negatives though, he's done this sorta thing before.

Hi CI_GTI, welcome mate!

Maybe you have the one and only Oil Pouch, Congrats! How many sellers do you know that list only 1 item with exactly the same description, selling the same item and take 12 days to deliver?

Paypal claim sorted.
