yea we all say this but to be fair.. who cares.. coz we drive a "Golf GTI" I mean.. the name says it all. any power you happen to get is a bonus
I prefer to be seen in my Golf 115BHP than i do in my 480BHP Celica GT-Four.. As much as i love it.. its all jap crap realy :D Nothing compared to oldskool classic GTI's

Indeed, i drive it becuase i like it..... Not becuase of its power. If i wanted 0-60 i can get a car for less insurance that does more! lol. And is made by ford. lol

Its an 8v and they only have 115bhp dont they?
As said above should have got a 16v, mine goes really well with a full exhaust.
-
answer is in the title... 8v
-
oh yeh i know its not going to be stupid quick i just got it cus im a vw nut but it realy is sluggish i just thought 1 of you might have had the same problem!
-
remember it was 115bhp 10 or so years ago, a mate with vag com and a quick scan could reveal if it has any problems that would effect the performance such as air intake sensor, ecu coolant temp sensor or something like a hall sensor fault which could reveal that the timing is out
