Hi people, im looking to get a set of Alooys refurbed and wondered if anyone knew of anywhere good, im in the south east, sussex area, my wheel have a diamond cut Rim with a painted center, the rims have some deep curb marks so hoping these can be repaired. in the golf mag theres a place called Fat Wheels anyone used them or know anything about them?. cheers guys

if you need to get them refurbed, you should have a go at them yourself first, if it goes wrong ... well you were getting refurbed anyway so its all good. Check out boneybradley's thread, or someone else's. a few ppl have done their own on here.
I can say, if you have oxidation under the laquer, you will need to strip the alloys back to the bare metal. Use a grinder and one of those twisted mehttp://www.golfgtiforum.co.uk/index.php?topic=84054.0
Need Alloys Refurbedtal abrasive zip wheel things. Etch primer, then paint and a sh!t load of laquer. ohh and clean the insides with some 1000 wet/dry and brilo pad, then add a few coats of paint, looks smart for a quick job.

ohh and the info above is what i was told by the pro who is gunna spray mine, i will do all the prep work though. Thought i'd let him spray it, as he offered and it would look better, but you can do it all yourself.

forgot to mention, i masked out the middle part, but gave that a good scrub with a wire brush.
