Title: Remote Central Locking

I really want to install remote central locking into my mk2 8v, iv never had it in anycar iv owned but since i fell in love with my golf id like to treat he to it, any ideas on how to go about it I have a remote central locking controll box and a fob but when i connected it i could only get the doors to lock not open and the drivers door does nothing any help would be great cheers chaps..

Sounds like a faulty control box and/or pumps.
Try swapping the drivers side with the passenger side and see if it still does not work.
