I have insurance in england, i read that if you have insurance in england, they have to cover you to the lowest cover in any country in europe? Or is this wrong.
I want to drive to italy to see a mate, road trip with mates, wil lgo through france, switzerland and itlay, would i be covered or is there anything i have to get or do?
Cheers mike

Ring your current insurer to see what level of cover you have and if you need a 'green card'.

cheers ;)

your policy will cover the minimum legal requirement in europe, you can usually increase this by having a green card which will allow the same level of cover that you have in the uk for a limited period of time. It would be worth checking with you existing insurers as many allow a certain length green card free (most of ours offer 90day free).

Nice, i would only be gone for like 2 weeks maximum, so if i got the green card free or didnt cost to much, i would do that, but if i dont need it thats cool.
I only have tpft over here, so the minimum for the countries probably is far of that i would think, driving through france, austria then italy.
