Title: 16v ABF into mk2
Post by: ramjet on 20 April 2008, 03:01
Hi VW brethens,

Good day.I am currently fixing in a ABF from a 95 mk3 into my digi 8v 1990.Im using my original digi system as i only got the engine empty.

Also used a MK3 subframe with ABF rear engine and gearbox mounts.Front mount is my original 8v type.Fits in nicely but seems to be high. Also need info if anyone else has done it and where to put in the temp senders or have them retro fitted.

Any ideas bros please assist.Thanks.

Regards

As in you're using the 8v ecu etc on the 16v???

i hope you dont plan to do this as it would run like poo and the limiter would cut in waaaaaaay to early!

the MK3 sender for the gauge is the same as a 16v one, however you cant use your original engine managmnet on the ABF, it just wont work.
