Anyone know what this update resolves. Ive booked "Phyllis" in wednesday morning cus the car missed this update .cheers peeps
-
Not seen anything of that one yet Phil. I saw the stuff about 24k5 but not 24k6.
-
24k6 from memory is for cars built 2006 onwards im sure of it, but i dont know what the patch resolved.
My GTi seems to lurch in 1st gear when pulling up to a standstill, ie if you release the foot brake just at the point you pull up to a complete
stop. im hoping this patch with resolve this with my DSG.

phil, what happened to your grey GTI you had few weeks ago?
-
is this for ed30 then? maybe i should book it in?
-
Got this done at my first service last September - manual GTI - MY2007. Never really noticed any difference anywhere.

Its sold back to my vw dealer for £20k and bought the red one for £18500 from a Private Seller and member of this very forum, Ed30 and cashback and couldnt turn it down tbh.
-
why did they want it back?
-
because i re-approached them to see if they would buy it back off me, and they said yes and gave me i think a reasonable price, considering im not buying a 4th car in 18 months from them!!.
-
Nice one, and good signature.
-
Dont VW do a 1 month buy back policy on used approved cars, as long as car isnt damaged etc they will give you your cash back
-
thats a good point, but i very much doubt it, i will have a look on vw's website to see if it states this.

Im not buying a car from them and the car isnt faulty, also ive clocked up 1700 more miles : :undecided:

Hi,
Phil it sounds like you have a mechatronic valve block problem same as mine, when tranny is hot it fails to release first gear when car stops at traffic lights etc and only does so when the engine management warns the tranny that the engine is stalling. Dealers wont recognise the the problem unless you persist or like me you have a mate who's a VW tech at another branch and gave me a copy of the internal bulettin. Mine goes in for replacement of this unit next week after much messing around with software and changing transmission oil and the like. The unit is the best part of a £ grand so this maybe why VW are reluctant to replace it or admit there is an issue on some cars. :embarassed:

No they havent had the car yet to diagnose it, it was only me that mentioned it to have a look at when they have the car in wednesday. i will mention about the "Mechatronic valve Block" if thats what its called. cheers fro the advise, if u can find out what the memo or technical bullitin number that was , that would be very very helpful.Mines under factory warranty so the i very much doubt there would be a problem with cost.
cheers DSG
