So yeah, been told to lower the car before getting new alloys, so am gonna do as I'm told, gonna ring the insurers tomorrow to see how much it'll cost extra for it to be lowered...but whilst I do that, am thinking of what set of coilovers to get, I don't want nothing too expensive, so thought of these as a couple people I've spoken to said to get them if you're on a budget?

Thoughts?

There gonna be quite hard imo, but for less than £50 a quarter its all good. My FK's are proberly the same sort of qualtiy and they have been fine. JUST GREASE UM! GREASE UM LOTS

Can't be any harder than what my ride is like now? lol!
If it looks good, and handles well, ain't too fussed tbh haha! Just need to hear from the insurers.

Slam it! Just a point though, If you dont need coilovers you could get a gas shock and mathcing spring lowering kit for the same price but better quality? they give a better ride aswell (sometimes) compared to cheeper coilovers.
The only advantage with coilies is of course.. its adjustable.. So if you want that go for it :-D

Thing is I might want it lower depending on the alloys I get etc, so best to not give myself a limit I think.

You can also look into cup kits (http://www.mk3love.com/reviews/tag/cup-kit/) as well, but like mentioned earlier, coilovers give you the ability to adjust if you think you'll be changing it often.

Im just going to get some jamex coilovers or something, a real hot brand, i want to be hot out there. No compromise.
