can any 1 tell me what colour this is code would be nice i had it colour mathed come up with a kia colour but its not rite
is it a vw colour ??

dont think there is a sticker in the boot and that site dont really help much unless im just thick which is prob the case lol

ooo..does it say anything about a paint job in the history?
It kinda reminds me of Blue mk2s colour and his was from a ford :undecided:

like it said on that site, what about checking places that might not have been sprayed and you might find the original colours on some bits of panels?

i had to take the mirror off to get a colour match came back some kia colour totally wrong colour :cry: :cry: dont know what to do know as they said its a 97% match im stuck now as need to get engine bay sprayed before i can do any think :huh:

well if the paint shop are mixing it up to the actual colour thats on the car whats the problem if its original vw or not??? chances are if you did fine the paint code and got paint made up to it it would be completely different as paint ages and wears and changes shades :wink: i would say just go with the paint match :cool:

http://www.cabby-info.com/paint_colors.htm well from these paint colours you can see if any o them are similar by getting tester pots?
if you think it is a VW colour you can narrow down that list by removing the metallic options (if paint is non metallic and vice versa) and the ones that will be too light or too dark.
or just take a list of the paint codes and pop into halfords or somewhere and compare them with the VW blues they have in their colour image book.
but it could be a newer colour by looking at it.. so i'd go with the colour match.
