Hi doing a cam belt on a 2000 1.4 8v polo saturday, has anyone done one. before? Just wanted to know if any locking tools are needed or if it has a free spinning crank pulley or is it on a key way. Any help would be appreciatted. Thanks, Phil.S

Crank is on a key way, so no need to worry!
No locking pins required, just a dot of paint needed to highlight the timing marks.
dont forget to change the water pump as they are very common to fail when a new belt is put on!

Thats a releif then, i'll get my paint out lol. Havent got a water pump but that sounds like it may be an idea then. Are the notorious for it then?
