Title: Car trouble!!!! Help needed!!!
Post by: wookieGTI on 14 April 2008, 02:05
I have a 8v digi and developed a problem about 2days ago.while accelerating my car kind or stutters and draws back a little, have checked the plugs and leads they seem ok.im no expert but to me it seems like some kind of fuel starvation would a fuel filter change sort this as it has never been changed since rolling out the factory.

Any help is much appreciated.

Are you red lining when this happens? (I got a similar effect from a rev limiter)

Its the air flow meter attached to the airbox, about a 2 inch wide connector, unplug and plug in several times, have a look to see if the contacts look clean.

Digis are really really sensitive to bad leads. I would 100% recomend fitting a set from VW (not GSF or ECP), even if this doesn't sure your problem when you do fix it your car will be better than ever.

you sure its not missing on idle? this would suggest the leads.

Did this start after you filled up?

Is it a miss or a hesitation?
