I have a 8v digi and developed a problem about 2days ago.while accelerating my car kind or stutters and draws back a little, have checked the plugs and leads they seem ok.im no expert but to me it seems like some kind of fuel starvation would a fuel filter change sort this as it has never been changed since rolling out the factory.
Any help is much appreciated.

Are you red lining when this happens? (I got a similar effect from a rev limiter)
-
Check the MAF connection
-
No not red lining when doin around 30-50mph,MAF connection???whats that where will i find that?
-
Its the air flow meter attached to the airbox, about a 2 inch wide connector, unplug and plug in several times, have a look to see if the contacts look clean.
-
Digis are really really sensitive to bad leads. I would 100% recomend fitting a set from VW (not GSF or ECP), even if this doesn't sure your problem when you do fix it your car will be better than ever.

Been out and checked the MAF,gave a clean and plugged in several times, just been of a little drive and still got the problem.having had my mate drive who is a mechanic he seems to think its an igntion problem.maybe needs a treat to some new spark plugs and new leads??
Any more ideas are appreciated

when its idling can you hear or feel it missing slightly ...very occasional?
-
no its when driving, going through the revs accelerating through the gears then backing off and accelerating again is when you feel it missing slightly.
-
you sure its not missing on idle? this would suggest the leads.
Did this start after you filled up?
Is it a miss or a hesitation?
