Title: Cat standard on 16v?

My exhaust needs changing, so i was thinking of a full S/S system. I believe you can get cat back systems which give a little bit more power. Is that true and would it still pass the mot emissions test?

Yes it will still pass, as long as you keep the cat on the front of the system.

forgot to ask, but is it standard on all 16valvers to have a cat cos i can't see it on mine.

Yes, anything August 1992 onwards will be fitted with a cat by law.
