they are just cheap cheap discs, probably ok for day to day driving, to be honest i can get them for around that price with my trade discount, but like i say the cheapest of the cheapest most likely. id be tempted to spend a little more, but then i do drive hard so i need to be stopped hard
-

dont confuse vented with drilled
all front brakes on gti's are vented, even the standard ones.

hi mate, if your car is a 16v, dont you need 256mm discs? I would steer clear of cheap discs as you will only need more in 6 months after they warp!!

HI Dan
The ATE ones from europarts are bloody good disc's, been running them on the work horse(audi 80 advant) done 20000+ miles now with them on and I never take my time and it's normally loaded to the hilt. They have been great.
think they are about £17 each.

thing is rombonie i mistaked these vented brakes for grooved breaks, and i only found that out when some1 on here pointed out to me that all standard gti brakes are vented
my breaks are fine, but the breaks on mk2 gti's are not the best, so i wanted some grooved and drilled ones as maybe they will make them a bit better, plus look better

I'd check with euro, i think you'll find the ATE ones are grooved if not even drilled.
