Anyone know how easy it is to replace the trim that i have arrowed??
Have agreed'd to purchase an Ed30, but the trim on one side is broken, which when the wheel is pulled in/out , it pops out. Is it wheel off and then console casing around key, or just pop out and pop in without needed to rip dash apart. cheers peeps

hey!
I had a similar issue today, after getting my car back from the dealership after having CC fitted. That part is easy to remove, but its connected to the top cover of your steering wheel cover part. You can pop it out by using a butter knife or similar on each side, the far left and right hand part of this piece. Its best if you pull the steering wheel right out and drop it down as far as you can.
The top piece of the steering wheel cover "pops" off by opening the top and bottom piece close to the sttering wheel and lifting it up. I did this with the butter knife again.
I found a guide on another forum, want me to post it?

Scroll down a bit and you can see how to pop both bits off. Its quite easy to do.

thought you was happy with the GTi and was glad you didnt get a ED 30 ?,
Ive only answered it because someone asked the same question.Like i said, i could of had one, but the ed30 badge and red stitching isnt enough for me to buy one that has no decent spec to it. Im not into modding and blowing the arse out of it which nearly all ed30 owners wanna do, and thats up to them.I just enjoy the car for what it is, and still think the Standard car in the right colour and spec, is as nicer car to look at. Just my opinion.
Remember i have one of these cars before, if i didnt like it , i wouldnt of opted for another  especially the same spec :smug:
oh and only thing that would worry me would be why has that part been broken ?, guess it could be CC fitting

I was going to say that because I broke the clip on the right side retro fitting CC last week.
